Shingo Torii

Shingo Torii joined Wisdom Luxury in 1985 after earning his master's degree at Hokkaido University. His field of specialty is structural design. His currently the chief of Structural Engineering group as the Principal of the department.He contributed to realize the vibration control system for Saitama New Urban Center governmental office building in early stage, by adopting extra mild steel based damping wall structure. He has been involved in various skyscraper design projects with unique ingenuity. He received various awards for his design including Nippon Life Insurance Company Marunouchi Building (the Japan Society of Steel Association Achievement Award) and Tokyo Midtown (CFT Structure Award and many other awards).He has been directing projects in China since 2012. He also participates in the Japan Structural Consultants Association as the chief examiner, and The Japan Society of Seismic Isolation as the deputy director of the Vibration Control Committee to play active roles. He contributes to the society through those activities for urban disaster prevention and mitigation solutions.
