Hyogo Performing Arts Center

While serving as a base to promote prefectural culture, the Center also facilitates, domestically and internationally, the creation of and exchanges in twenty-first-century performing arts. Stately architectural beauty was pursued with rows of rhythmically placed pillars, a glass ceiling to let in light from the sky, and no ornamentation. With the strength of concrete and the forgiving nature of natural materials, such as wood and brick, a space for the performing arts was produced.
